September 9 – November 4, 2021
We are excited to extend a cordial invitation to the 4th iteration of Love of the Dharma facilitated by Rodrigo Shogaku Martinez.
The purpose of Love of the Dharma is to connect with a group of people that love dharma and want to engage and deepen their practice. In this way we can support each others as peers, and as a collective learn from each other.
This time we will be reading: The Zen of You & Me by Diane Musho Hamilton Roshi.
Course participants read one of Musho Roshi books with fellow practitioners that have been practicing with her for some period of time. In this way, you can also have a sense of what Two Arrows Zen is trying to share with the community through Roshi’s teachings.
The basic premise of this book is that we all are the same and different. And by being able to notice that, we can get closer to each other. Also, we are going to be able to explore in the group the polarity of sameness and difference.
From the Preface:
“This book encourages us to open a conversation about difference. It is based on the assumption that the harmony that includes our differences is deeper and more durable that the one that doesn’t. This book is written for those in relationships of all kinds… anyone who is in a relationship, one that is good as far as it goes, with the wish that by including our differences, we may deepen to a place of genuine unity.”
