Michael Mugaku Zimmerman Roshi
May 1 – May 4, 2018
Artspace Zendo, Salt Lake City, Utah
The Two Arrows Zen Sangha practices together during a traditional Zen sesshin, an intensive meditation retreat dedicated to the practice of zazen. This year, Mugaku Roshi will offer Spring Sesshin at our city center at Artspace in Salt Lake City with three full days of strong sitting and walking meditation practice.
Spring Sesshin with Mugaku Roshi begins at 6:00 pm on Wednesday, May 1 and ends with dinner on Saturday, May 4.
To register for Spring Sesshin you need to be able to participate in all activities and agree to attend all sessions of the full retreat. Practitioners new to Two Arrows Zen are welcome, but participation in at least one Day of Zen, Urban Retreat, or a similar multi-day meditation retreat is requested for preparation.

TWO ARROWS ZEN SCHOLARSHIP FUND
Scholarships and work-trade in service to the community help us to offer partial tuition reductions to young practitioners and Two Arrows Zen members who are recent graduates, or those with life-stage limited income or long-distance travel costs.
Please consider making a donation at registration to support our scholarship and work-trade practitioners attending Spring Sesshin. All contributions will be applied directly to support all categories of participation and to encourage diversity in our community of practice.
Two Arrows Zen members with life-stage limited income, long-distance travel costs, full-time students or recent graduates, and those under 30 may request to contribute work-trade in service to the community in exchange for partial tuition reduction. Work-trade may include early arrival or late departure to help with set up and closing, as well as extra shifts in addition to the samu period. APPLY FOR WORK-TRADE
You will enjoy three healthy and nutritious meals a day during the retreat. Coffee, tea and snacks are included.
Special Diet Requests
Meals are vegetarian-based, with other protein options at most meals. Everyone is served the same meal. If you have medically necessary dietary restrictions, such as strictly gluten-free or lactose-free, we ask that you bring your own food to supplement. We will have gluten-free cereals available at breakfast and a limited supply of other gluten-free items at other meals. A medically diagnosed allergy to seafood or nuts requires that you inform us, and maintain your own rescue medication, such as an epi-pen.
We regret we are not able to prepare special meals for individuals or provide refrigerated food storage in the kitchen.
