New to Zen?

Two Arrows Zen is a Zen Buddhist lay practice community. We sit in meditation every weekday morning and Monday - Thursday evenings. Please attend the Sunday Morning Mindfulness program first if you have never practiced meditation before.

What follows is information about our weekly schedule, one day retreats, and three introductory talks. Please click on the Events tab for more program information.

Sunday Mindfulness Meditation

Sundays, 10 - 11:30 am.

Join the Two Arrows Zen Sangha for a weekly public program of teaching, meditation, and inquiry with Diane Musho Hamilton Roshi.

No prior experience necessary. $5 weekly donation or TAZ membership. 

If coming for the first time, please arrive by 9:50 to park and get settled before the talk starts promptly at 10:00 am.

Public Schedule

Morning sitting - Monday to Friday: 7:00 - 7:35; 7:45 - 8:15 am
Service - Tuesday morning: 7:45 am
Evening sitting - Monday - Thursday: 5:30 - 6:05; 6:15 - 6:45 pm
Service - Monday evening: 6:15 pm

Evening sitting - Thursday: 7:00 - 7:35; 7:45 - 8:15 pm

The donation to participate in the sitting practice is $5/day. If you are sitting regularly, we require a Two Arrows Zen Membership ($30/month.)

The zendo is closed for some major holidays. Please check the Two Arrows Zen Calendar for the schedule.

Days of Zen - Michael Mugaku Zimmerman, Roshi

Michael Mugaku Zimmerman Roshi offers Days of Zen which are half-day practice periods on Saturdays throughout the year. You will receive basic meditation instruction and an opportunity for a personal interview with Mugaku Roshi. The program includes meditation and instruction from 7:45 am - 1:00 pm, and a social lunch. For more information or to register, see the Events Page.
